Teaching English as a second language to young children still fascinates me after fifteen years. They have an amazing ability to learn foreign languages and absorb their accents in a way that adults lack. They learn new languages easily because, unlike adults, the part of their brain, where information is stored is not yet fully formed. That is why their brain can absorb a foreign language without any resistance. It is just new information that they are able to store and access just like any other information. Insegnare l'inglese come seconda lingua ai bambini piccoli ancora mi affascina dopo quindici anni. Loro hanno una straordinaria capacita` di imparare le lingue straniere e di assorbire gli accenti in modo che gli adulti non sono capaci di fare. Imparono nuove lingue facilmente perche`, a differenza dei adulti, parte del loro cervello non e` ancora completamente formato. E` per questo che il loro cervello e in grado di assorbire una lingua straniera senza alcuna resistenza. Si tratta solo di nuove informazioni che sono in grado di memorizzare come qualsiasi altra informazione. Se siete interessati a questo argomento, si prega di contattarmi. We live in a society that is increasingly multiethnic and multilingual : " More Languages, More Europe " - MIUR. For our children to speak several languages is a necessity, because it enriches and gives them the opportunity to explore and to become a citizen of the world itself. A bilingual child is more aware of reality and different cultures and is more open and curious towards cultural differences. While being bilingual in the future could also expand its possibilities, or open the door to new ways of working, knowledge of foreign languages is becoming more and more a necessary condition for professional success .
Viviamo in una società sempre più multietnica e plurilinguistica: "Più lingue, Più Europa" - MIUR. Per i nostri bambini saper parlare diverse lingue è una necessità, perchè arricchisce e dà la possibilità di esplorare il mondo, di diventare un cittadino del mondo stesso! Un bambino bilingue e’ piu’ consapevole di realta’ e culture diverse, aperto e curioso verso le differenze culturali. Mentre in futuro essere bilingue potrebbe anche ampliare le sue possibilita’ di lavoro o aprirgli nuove strade, la conoscenza di lingue straniere e’ sempre piu’ una condizione necessaria per il successo professionale.
When learning one or more foreign languages, researchers believe the first years of life are the best. Children who know two or more languages have greater flexibility in the creative process; it's as if their brain to gets used to moving from one reality to another. Bilingualism makes it easier to learn additional languages when they grow up, having already developed a certain sensitivity towards sounds, intonations, rhythms and different grammatical structures. It stimulates the intellect, therefore bilingual children learn to read and write and have greater analytical skills.
L'effetto sul bambino
Per imparare una o più lingue straniere, i primi anni di vita sono i migliori, come dicono anche le ricerche. I bambini che conoscono due o più lingue, hanno una grande elasticità nei processi creativi, come se il loro cervello si abituasse a passare da una realtà all'altra! Il bilinguismo rende piu’ facile l’apprendimento di ulteriori lingue in eta’ successive avendo gia’ sviluppato una sensibilita’ per suoni, intonazioni, ritmi e strutture grammaticali diverse. E stimola l’intelligenza, perchè i bambini bilingui imparano piu’ velocemente a leggere e scrivere e hanno doti analitiche piu’ spiccate.

Designed for children from 7 to 12 years of age, following the TEFL method that combines games, creative activities and projects with the aim of practicing the new language in fun and engaging ways. Depending on the language level acquired, they will become familiar with Young Learners exams that the University of Cambridge offers for this age group . Those who wish can take the proficiency exam session in May / June . The classses are scheduled once a week, the duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes in the afternoon, for a total of 35 hours, beginning in October 2014.

Pensati per i bambini dai 7 ai 12 anni d'età seguono il metodo TEFL che combina giochi, progetti e attività creative con l'obiettivo di far pratica in un contesto divertente e coinvolgente.I bambini dai 9 ai 10 anni, in base al livello linguistico acquisito, familiarizzano con gli esami Young Learners che l'Università di Cambridge propone per questa fascia d'età. Chi lo desidera può sostenere l'esame di competenza nella sessione di Maggio/Giugno.L'incontro è fissato una volta alla settimana, la durata è di 1 ora e 30 minuti in orario pomeridiano, per un totale di 35 ore, con inizio a ottobre 2014.
